Maple Chicken Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken

  • 1 egg

  • 4 tablespoons fresh herbs (I used a mix of parsley and chives)

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, herbs, maple syrup, poultry seasoning, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

  2. Shape the mixture into 6-8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).

  4. Serve the patties warm with your favorite sides or as part of a salad or grain bowl.
