Steak Pizzaiola Bites

Ingredients 

  • 1 lbs sirloin steak cut into 1 inch cubes 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1 TBSP oil 

  • 2 cloves minced garlic 

  • 1/2 cup green olives 

  • 2 TBSP capers 

  • 1/4 cup white wine 

  • 1 tsp dried parsley 

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning 

  • 1 tsp garlic powder 

  • Fresh basil and grated parmesan to serve 

  • 1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes


Directions

  1.  Season steak bites with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley, and salt 

  2. Let sit for 10 mintes 

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet 

  4. Sear steak for one minute on each side until a brown crust forms but the middle stays tender 

  5. Remove steak from the pan and set aside 

  6. Turn heat down to medium and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 5 minutes until softened 

  7. Deglaze with white wine 

  8. Add olives, capers, and crushed tomatoes 

  9. Simmer for ten minutes 

  10. Add steak back in and stir on low for 2-3 minutes 

  11. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice and garnish with fresh basil and Parm
